VISION GOAL
To serve as a transition point for NFC students in discerning an appropriate career pathway and/or transfer choice.

To increase the transfer rate for graduates into appropriate universities, establish career plans, and map out pathways for potential and current students through NFC programs.

FAMU Ignite Transfer Program

Through our FAMU IGNITE Program, students who attend North Florida College are guaranteed general admission into FAMU after completion of an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, [Pursuant to 1007.23 F.S.].

Limited access programs may require additional admissions and prerequisite requirements.

  • Assess Appropriate Transfer Choice(s) (Institution & Major)
  • Review Prerequisite Requirements for Program
  • Establish a Transfer Plan in Degree Works (establish deadlines, schedule meetings, etc.)
  • Host Representatives from Transfer Institutions to Facilitate Transfer Process
  • Conference Room Mini-Transfer Orientations: Student Loans, housing, transportation, differences between NFC and university, etc.

Focus2 is a tool we have for our students to assist in assessing their skills and giving a clear direction for their future. I have included the link below and encourage you to register and complete the self-assessments provided. Please use your NFC email to register. Once those are complete you can explore the results. I would like to meet with you also to discuss the results and begin to work on a plan to reach your educational and career goals!
