OVERVIEW
The Learning Resources Department consists of the Marshall W. Hamilton Library and Academic Success Center (ASC) & Tutor Lab, all in Building 4 (the Library). The Disability Resource Center (DRC) in Building 7 is also an extension of Learning Resources.
Learning Resources is committed to serving NFC students and faculty in-person, remotely,
and online alike. Resources offered at the Madison campus are available at the NFC
Live Oak and Perry Locations as well. Community patrons are welcome, but cannot access
all of the services or resources designated for NFC students. Read more in our Library Guidelines.
HISTORY
The Library was named for Dr. Marshall W. Hamilton, the first president of the College,
then North Florida Junior College (NFJC). The Library was one of the first permanent
buildings on campus and has undergone multiple expansions and remodels. The Academic
Success Center (ASC) & Tutor Lab were relocated to the Library in 2015, and the Disability
Resource Center (DRC) joined Learning Resources in 2022.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Marshall W. Hamilton Library actively supports the curriculum and mission of North
Florida College by providing access to quality learning resources and instructional
services. The Library promotes the use of electronic resources and seeks to provide
its users with the competencies necessary to pursue their goals and to become productive
members of the community. The Marshall W. Hamilton Library serves both on campus
and remote access users. The Library enriches not only the college community but
also NFC’s entire six-county district.

the "24/7 Tutoring" tab on D2L (even available after hours and when we're closed).
The ASC and Library both hire student workers. Apply today to join our team!
Student employees can work for multiple departments across campus, up to a combined
25 hours per week.
