North Florida College offers multiple course modalities, including face-to-face, online, HyFlex, and face-to-face enhanced giving students the flexibility to learn in the way that works best for them.
Whether on campus or online, NFC’s instructional formats are designed to support different schedules, learning preferences, and levels of engagement while maintaining the same high-quality academic experience.
Face-to-Face

This modality will only work for on-campus/location students. Instruction takes place in a classroom (Madison, Perry or Live Oak). Same day(s) and time each week. Remote option not available.
Online

This modality is perfect for remote students. All instruction is available online. No on campus meetings. No set days or times.
Hyflex

- Same days/times each week
This modality is perfect for a student needing classroom environment or remote setting. Student Choice Instruction takes place in a classroom (Madison, Perry, or Live Oak). Same day(s) and time each week. Student can join in person or virtually OR students can receive instruction completely online. Student can join the live instructions any or all weeks, or work completely online.
Face-to-Face Enhanced

This modality may work best for a remote student - but it all depends on the course syllabus and what works best with your schedule. Instruction takes place in a classroom (Madison, Perry, or Live Oak). Same day(s) and time each week. There will be an opportunity to join virtually most weeks.
