Open Door Grant

The 2024-2025 Open Door Grant supports your pursuit of in-demand career and technical education programs at NFC. The application period for Fall Term 2024 closes Aug. 24, 2024.

If eligible, you may receive tuition funding for the following workforce programs:

CDL Class A
Certified Nursing Assistant
Correctional Officer (Traditional Correctional BRTP)
Crossover from Correctional Officer to Law Enforcement Officer
Crossover from Law Enforcement Officer to Correctional Officer
Fundamental Foodservice Skills

Eligibility Requirements:

You have applied to NFC and intend to register in an eligible program
You currently are classified as a State of Florida resident and have resided in Florida for at least one year.
You are aware that Open Door funds are applied after federal and state grants, or third-party payments, to cover a maximum award equal to the amount needed to cover 100% of tuition and fees, exam costs, books, and supplies, subject to availability of funding.
The Open Door Grant funds are first come first serve.

Register/Plan to Register in eligible program
Complete the 2024-2025 Open Door Grant Application
