Summary

The Staff Assistant aids the Director of the Center in Perry to ensure the provision of services to students. The assistant will be responsible for accurate correspondence, record keeping, participant database maintenance, customer services, linking students to resources, scheduling, and other administrative duties as assigned. Must provide excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, answer, and direct telephone calls regarding areas of admissions, advising, and testing to assist students, staff, and faculty.
  • Maintain appropriate records.
  • Assist with data collection and submission of related reports.
  • Provide office and administrative support including admissions, testing, advising, financial aid, recruiting, and student support.
  • Assist students with pre-advising activities and direct office traffic.
  • Provide training and support to students for web registration.
  • Maintain documentation of direct contact and appointments for the Perry Location.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Assist advisor with student referrals.
  • Supports and assists NFC’s main campus as needed.

NFC is seeking qualified Adjunct Instructors for the EMS programs.  This is a part-time instructional position. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Effectively uses oral and written communication skills.
  2. Maintains scheduled hours to provide instruction for assigned class meeting times, dates, and locations.
  3. Maintains records of student attendance.
  4. Maintains timely compliance with clerical and administrative responsibilities.

Summary

NFC is seeing enthusiastic candidates for an adjunct CDL instructor.  Through strong, local support from the truck driving and timber industry, North Florida College offers a certified program in the field of commercial truck driving. This program is designed to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license ("CDL") as well continuing education refreshers for existing drivers. A portion of the training focuses on the specific skills needed within the timber industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach Entry Level Driving Training portion of the Truck Driver Training Program, including Handling and documenting cargo, hours of service, post-crash procedures, trip planning, etc.
  • Teach Pre-Trip, Range (basic maneuvers), Road (each student drives 1000 miles on public roads, 200 must be done at night)
  • Evaluate and grade students throughout the program.
  • Maintain relationships with employers in the trucking industry and assist with the recruitment/placement of students.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess an active Florida Class A CDL (commercial driver’s license)
  • Over-the-road experience is required, experience in the logging industry is preferred.

SUMMARY

The Social Media Specialist will assist in content creation for the College’s social media platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement. The Specialist will use all forms of visual communications, design theory, and multimedia to promote, market, and further develop the College’s mission, vision, and goals. The Specialist will assist in the supervision and management of the Office of Communication’s Student Workers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  2. Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including text, image, and video content.
  3. Manage social media accounts and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner.
  4. Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications and apply knowledge to improve social media presence.
  5. Utilize graphic design tools and resources to create visually appealing social media promotions.
  6. Implement strategies to increase followers and engagement rates.
  7. Train Student Workers each semester.
  8. Assist with project management and timekeeping for Student Workers.
  9. Assist the Recruitment Coordinator with recruitment events, presentations, processes, promotions, etc. as needed; travel within our service district may be required.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

This job currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
